What We Can do For You!

Much like a human child,  your pet must be taught proper behavior to be a good canine citizen.  If you wish him to be a companion that is welcome anywhere,  then you must make that investment to teach him proper canine etiquette.

Our goal at The Canine Workshop is to teach you how to guide your pet into adulthood. With proper training your pet can be that ideal companion one who will be a pleasure to be around.

What We Can Do For you and your Pet!

  • Furnish a helpful instructor to answer questions, demonstrate, and give you and your dog moral support
  • Help you develop the skills necessary to communicate with your dog on what is acceptable behavior and what is not.
  • Create a trusting relationship with your dog, enabling you or your veterinarian to handle every part of the dog's body to check for injuries or illness. To accept the giving of medication if needed.
  • Develop socialization skills in your dog so that the dog is comfortable with other canines and their owners.
  • Create an environment in which the dog wants to please and listen to you.
  • Create a desire the dog to walk or run beside you without dragging you or strangling himself.  Allowing you and the dog to get more exercise.
  • Teach you hot to teach the dog basic commands that may one day save your dog's life.
  • Create a less stressful environment for your dog because the dog knows what behavior is expected.
  • May create an interest in other dog activities such as obedience, conformation or agility competition.  You might even have an interest in pursuing some kind of dog sports such as Flyball. Skijoring, Bikejoring, Disc Throwing or Herding to name a few.  You may want to get your dog certified as a Canine Good Citizen so that the dog could become a Therapy dog or participate in a reading program at your local library.
